Welcome to our inn

Sylvan Park Boarding House is a charming historic home nestled in the heart of Nashville’s beloved Sylvan Park neighborhood. Blending timeless Southern hospitality with modern comfort, our inviting guesthouse pairs refined design with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—offering an experience that feels both elevated and effortlessly at home.

Built in 1910 by J. W. Fryer, this stately residence began as a family home. In the 1930s, it served as a boarding house during the Great Depression, offering comfort in uncertain times, before returning to single-family use in the 1980s. In 2021, longtime Sylvan Park residents Alex and Erin Tolbert purchased the home, lived within its storied walls for two years, and ultimately chose to honor its history by reimagining it once again as a boarding house—this time with a refined, luxury-forward perspective.
