This room is named for James A. Bowling, an influential figure in Nashville's early 20th-century expansion and a driving force behind the growth of Sylvan Park. Bowling's crews constructed many of the neighborhood's original homes, including his own residence at 4501 Nebraska Avenue that still stands today, helping shape the area's enduring residential identity.
